Chickadee Creek Farm
Organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers grown in Pennington, NJ. Accepts Sr FMNP & WIC.
Chickadee Creek Farm is a certified organic vegetable, flower and herb farm. The farm was started by Jess Niederer in 2010 on her family farm. Four generations of our family have farmed in Hopewell Valley, NJ, and Jess?s Grandmother preserved the land so that it can never be developed. The 80 acre farm is on Titus Mill Road in Pennington, NJ. Our crew of 10 farmers grow on 17 of those acres, with 15 of them devoted to vegetables and 2 to small fruits. The goal of Chickadee Creek is three-pronged; make a sustainable living off of the farm, supply our community with healthy and flavorful food, and do all of this as efficiently as possible to keep costs down and to keep life enjoyable for farmers and for our customers. We grow over 50 types of vegetables chosen for flavor and suitability to our climate, with old favorites and new specialties alike. Zucchini, striped heirloom tomatoes, amazing potatoes, ridiculously sweet winter carrots, lettuces, delicious young ginger, sweet corn, and the prettiest flowers are on our market tables with the seasons. Jess?s family grew wheat, soybeans, and hay on this farm. In 2010, when Jess began her separate business growing vegetables, she immediately began using organic practices. All of our practices and farmland are inspected by and follow the rules of the National Organic Program. In July of 2012 organic certification began for the first five acres. As Chickadee Creek takes over the family land bit by bit, the new ground is called ?transitional organic? until the mandatory three year waiting period is over. As of June 1st of 2017, 20 acres are fully certified organic!

Von Thun's
Fresh produce. Accepts Sr FMNP & WIC.
In 1913, Henry Von Thun purchased 90 acres of prime New Jersey farm land and used that land to homestead and grow potatoes and grain crops. His son, Henry M. continued to farm, and over the years carried on the family tradition. As new generations farmed and the years passed, changes were made. The work horses were traded for tractors, and for many years the farm produced potatoes and various grains while being farmed by Henry M.?s son, Bob Von Thun Sr. In 1986, Bob Jr. formed a partnership with his dad which enabled them to farm alongside each other until his dad retired in 2004. Together they added a farm market and pick your own fields to help change the farm?s focus to producing small fruits and vegetables. Today, our homegrown, fresh fruits and vegetables are sold both wholesale and retail through our Farm Markets and Farmers Markets throughout the state. Five generations of Von Thun?s, along with a hard working staff, have worked many long hours to bring you healthy and delicious Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables. Over the years, the farm has become more diversified. Greenhouses were added in 1989, and u-pick berry crops were added. In 1995, Bob & Cindy started expanding the Fall season on the farm. Along with growing fields of farm fresh produce, two apple orchards, and acres and acres of pumpkins, Von Thun?s Farm is kept busy with a CSA Program, hayrides, a fun, interactive corn maze, and annual Fall family weekends. Von Thun?s Farm is host to school tours in Spring and Fall, and holds a number of family fun days throughout the year. Please follow our links to learn more about our special events, Fall Festivals, hayrides, farm animals, and school field trip tours. As one of the few remaining family operated farms in central New Jersey, we hope you?ll find the time to come out and visit us this season!

Stonybrook Meadows
Naturally raised pork, lamb, and sheep from heritage breeds; pastured eggs; local jams and honey.
In 1997 Ann del Campo decided to build a farm for her and her daughter. Over time, the farm evolved from an equestrian center to focus on food production. Dr. Ann del Campo is the matriarch of Stonybrook Meadows. Her wealth of knowledge and lively personality make farm visits FUN. Ann began farming while managing her sucessfull career in preventative healthcare. It meant many extra hours of work, but she believed in the value of rasing her daughter on a farm, connected with natural systems.

Zell's Farm
Cultivated fresh and dried mushrooms, house-made dumplings, steam buns, and broth.
Zell's farm started from 2019 and it will be our third year next year of 2021. We are young farmers that love growing healthy food and providing tasty produce in its best original flavors. There is always a why story for every young farmer. Ours started from a dozen of amazing eggs we bought from a country road sidewalk cooler on one of our country view seeing trips. You couldn't find any eggs from the stores that can taste that good. Then we moved on buying vegetables and meat from local farms in NJ whenever we drove to the country areas on the weekends, which had much better flavors and tasted much better without adding all kinds of spices. So we started our own garden in our backyard to learn and test growing all kinds of vegetables we like. At the same time we had our first baby after two years of trying. We both believe eating healthy made it happen for us to have children. We want our kids growing up eating real and healthy food. Then we decided to move on serious farming and here we are. We don't use any herbicides or pesticides in our soil and on our produce. We don't use any antibiotics or hormones in our chicken feed. Our field is not as tidy looking as conventional farms. During growing season our field is very weedy. Our vegetables don't have the beautiful look like grocery store ones. But they are very healthy and tasty.

Chapter 2 Coffee
Chapter 2 Coffee is a new coffee roasting company in Central Jersey, hoping to spread the knowledge and love of the coffee and bringing the community together.
We are a new coffee roasting business that was born out of our passion for coffee and our desire to give back to the community. We started roasting coffee in our garage, using a small roaster and green beans sourced from places around the world. We experimented with different roasts and flavors and shared our creations with our family and friends. They loved our coffee that they encouraged us to start selling it to others. With an aim of having a community home one day, we have taken our first step as a Coffee Roasters. We are not just another coffee roasting business. We are a social enterprise that aims to support local farmers, protect the environment, and empower the community. We source our beans from fair trade and organic certified growers, who practice sustainable farming methods and pay their workers fairly. We roast our beans in small batches, using eco-friendly equipment and packaging. We hope you enjoy our coffee as much as we enjoy roasting it for you. Thank you for choosing us as your coffee partner. Together, we can make a difference in the world, one cup at a time.
